Common people, who go unnoticed in the daily life of the cities, are the focus of this show. They are students, delivery men, street artists, electricians and executives who had their daily lives and their ordinary gestures translated on stage by the poetics of circus language.
“We began to hold a dialogue about the poetics of territory, of how artists see the city,” explains Adriano Mauriz, who directs the young performers of Palombar group. For this work, the company from Cidade Tiradentes started by looking at this popular neighbourhood in the outskirts of São Paulo and its various residents.
The protagonism of each of these figures appears in individual numbers, such as magic, clowning, cyr wheel (metal circle used in spins and acrobatics), cube, handstand canes and wire. The soundtrack brings the buzz of the city and urban rhythms, such as hip-hop. Also, there are musical interventions played live by the cast, using saxophone, trumpet and accordion.
