The language of clowning and the creation process of this art are the theme of the residency, conducted by Argentinian directors and clowns Tato Villanueva and Letícia Vetrano.
During the virtual meetings, methods and creative experiences will be shared, and the participants will be invited to improve techniques and create scenes. This process of developing new work will be done in group and individual gatherings.
“Everyone starts from a different place, some are more sensitive, others more technical,” says Tato. “But for me it’s important that the participants can talk about their desires, what drives them, to develop new scenic material.”
The Brazilian artists Ariadne Antico (Clown Birita), Bruno Saggese (Clown Mimo), Dani Maimoni (Clown Danisguela), Dani Majzoub (Clown Olívia) and Tiago Marques (Clown Ritalino) are participating in the residency.
